Meet the team
Duncan McGovern
Duncan started Pedal Lucid out of his desire to help people improve their relationship with their data after working in Montana, New Zealand, and Maine as a Salesforce administrator, declarative developer, business analyst, marketing director, and consultant. He’s passionate about technology and even more passionate about helping people use it effectively.
Duncan lives in Missoula, MT, where he loves year-round outdoor recreation (skiing, biking, hiking…) with his wife and two sons.
Nicholas 'Rusty' Rustigian
Rusty joined the PL team in spring 2021 and has been working with technology systems since 2010, aiding nonprofits as both a staff member and independent consultant. His passion lies in helping nonprofits build capacity and efficiency, not just in technology. He understands the governance and change management crucial to tech projects, recognizing that success starts with people.
Rusty lives in Bozeman, MT, and enjoys cooking, live music, the outdoors, and various recreational activities.
Rachel Sinex
Rachel has been part of the Pedal Lucid team since March 2020. Before joining, she was an independent Salesforce Consultant, primarily helping nonprofits adopt Salesforce. With over 8 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising operations at national and international organizations in Washington, DC, New York City, and Asheville, NC, she combines technical expertise with deep industry knowledge.
Outside of work, Rachel invests in local real estate and enjoys exploring the mountains (and breweries!) of Western North Carolina.
Kelly Kjorlien
Kelly joined the Pedal Lucid team in 2023, bringing her experience in building customer experience programs and managing high-performing teams. She began her career in the nonprofit sector before transitioning to the technology industry, working with early-stage startups and in technical consulting. Passionate about making a positive community impact, Kelly uses her expertise to help organizations reach their full potential.
Kelly lives in Bozeman, MT, where she enjoys outdoor recreation and gardening.
Our Name
Riding a bicycle is the most efficient form of transportation around. Pedaling improves our mood, health, and the traffic in town. Like technology systems, it takes human input and uses leverage and good design to transform that input into rapid forward progress.
This increased speed can become a liability, however, as anyone who’s fallen off a bike can attest to. Unexpected bumps or obstacles are more problematic when hit at 20 miles per hour on two wheels than when encountered while walking. Like pedaling a bicycle, thoughtful use of technology can provide incredible benefits. And like pedaling a bicycle, problems can be amplified by velocity.
We help our clients plan, steer, and power their technology systems to move forward with a clear head and eyes open. We can help you through a rough spot, map out a long-term strategy, and help you understand and customize your system so it works for you. And if you’re just starting out and think you need some training wheels we’ll get you started on a balance bike instead.
